Whats the best way to get to/from Eugene, Ore. I have one cousin who moved
there and would like me to move there, but I also have to travel a lot,
since I am with an electronic magazine, or "e-zine" in Australia. The only
way I can see is flying to either Arcata, Medford, or Portland, and then
driving to Eugene. Greyhound Bus Lines, unlike other cities, does not serve
PDX. I know that Portland is 110 miles from Eugene. I would have to travel
quite a bit between Oregon and Tasmania. The quickest route I am find is
to fly from Portland, and change planes in Tokyo and either Sydney or
Melbourne, to get to Tasmania.

Eugene has its own airport, EUG. It has flights to LA, San Fran,
Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Denver and probably other places. To get
to Oz, probably EUG-SFO-SYD would do it quickest.

There is also bus and train service from Portland to Eugene. Go he
http://www.amtrak.com/ and enter PDX in "from" and EUG in "to".
