Geneve - Epernay - Paris
Driving from Geneve to Paris via Champagne this fall.
Any recommendations on "must sees" along the way. Including any very nice small hotels or B&Bs, restaurants. History (Verdun?) Especially interested in the Champagne area and Avize. Thanks. |

There is an excellent museum there and you can tour the old fortifications. We had an interesting meal at the Auberge au Feu de Bois in the little town just north of the but it's name escapes me. We also enjoyed Reims, and found the countryside to be very scenic (mid May). |

Take the tour of the Mumm champagne cellars in Reims. A few blocks away is the schoolhouse where the Nazi surrender was signed. It is a museum and the room in which the surrender was signed is unchanged. Terry Faust wrote: Driving from Geneve to Paris via Champagne this fall. Any recommendations on "must sees" along the way.
