Default Connection in Frankfurt

Hi:

Was pricing an itinerary from SFO to Rome via Frankfurt. United will
connect with Lufthansa and vice versa on the return.

Lufthansa's website indicates that the international arrivals all run
through Terminal 1 for a seamless connection. My sample itinerary had
less than an hour to connect. Is this legit? How does the process work?

Thx, Ned
