Default Joystar circling the drain?

Jeff,

Your attempt to insult me personally is actually of little consequence, for
it would seems that a much bigger issue is why someone would have such a
hate for Ray himself, to even go to the time, effort and trouble to want to
make him look like a total fool. After all... why even bother? Of course,
that 'someone' could always be just an excuse, as the booze wears off.

While Ray does indeed go off the deep end now and then with his insane
innuendos, simply as a means to create doubt, at least he does have the
added benefit of those such as yourself, and other shills, who quickly back
up his every move if and/or when necessary. While it must be nice, in my
case, it is certainly not necessary. That would simply be preaching to the
choir.

I can certainly answer his off the wall speculations if and/or when I feel
it necessary to do so. Most however are simply allowed to die of their own
weight. On a personal note though, your recent input is just not worth the
effort of any further response.

On the other hand, I wish to personally thank the new and personal response
that I received from a Canadian resident - because of this newest
post/threads, and another lurker in this case, obviously wanting to remain
anonymous, but encouraging me to not allow this intimidation and harassment
to discourage me in any way. Believe me, it won't!

Happy sailing...

Might as well buy 10,000 shares to reduce the overhead cost per share.
And when it jumps up to $100 per share, you'll be rich!

I've got a couple of grand siting around. A million shares? Would
that be a controlling interest? I'd love to own a company long enough
to file for Chap 7!!!!

Better yet, buy a controlling interest, then go to Washington for a
bail-out!

I'm not looking for a bail-out, just a hand-out.

Default Joystar circling the drain? Now Forced Bankruptcy????

http://www.travelagentcentral.com/le...n-agents-12119

or http://tinyurl.com/957dzs

And another story at
http://www.travelpulse.com/Resources...l.aspx?n=50119

Seems that some Joystar agents have filed an "Involuntary Petition for
Bankruptcy" in Florida courts trying to collect unpaid commissions. 15
agents are included in the suit claiming that Joystar owes them more than
$150,000 in back commissions.

What in blue blazes is an "Involuntary Petition for Bankruptcy"? I thought
if someone owed you money, you just sued them for it, not petitioned the
court to declare them bankrupt.

Hi George,

This type of petition tries to recoop any assets for the creditors
before they can be diverted. This is somewhat common in these types
of cases. BTW, I am not a lawyer nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn
Express last night so take this info for what it is worth.
Now John is going to accuse you of not giving both sides of this story
but I assume you will get over it. Hopefully, John will give us the
other side of this story as he has promised for months.
Seriously, I just hope those that booked with agents through this
company will not lose their vacations. That would be a real shame.

Best regards,
Ray

Joystar hasn't published or released any public replies that I am aware of,
but if anyone would guide me to positive stories about Joystar, I would be
glad to post them... or the links.

This was all reported on before via the professional trades, so just
continuing to try to create doubt is rather redundant and self severing.
But, keep circling guys... you may indeed get your chance to say "I told you
do" anyway. However, if any related information in this reference is to be
brought forth again, it certainly won't be through this newsgroup.

It depends. In this case, the petitioners probalby know or strongly
suspect that Joystar doesn't have enough cash to pay in the likely
event that they lose the suit. An involuntary chapter 7 CAN get the
the petitioners their money before other unsecured creditors. Assuming
there are any unsecured assets. Secured creditors always get their
stuff first. After all, it is their stuff. For instance, most
companies rent their office furniture and either lease or finance IT
equipment.

In chapter 11, employees are typically second in line for any money,
after the secured creditors. But in most cases, they're screwed.

I'll bet that Joystar has very few "employees" and
lots of "independent contractors."
Good luck,

Which is probably explains the push for involuntary chapter 7.

Speaking of bankruptcies, one of my favorite tales of "class" was when a
national Mexican restaurant chain tanked in the 90's. The manager of
one was told that they were closing for good at Midnight that evening.
He had just made payroll that day, and most of the employees at work had
their paychecks in their pockets. He knew that since the chain had
tanked that day, the paychecks would be worthless, so he called the
employees not then on the clock to warn them, and also called all the
employees together. Just before the restaurant closed for good, he
CASHED all the paychecks out of the till. To me, that was a good guy.
