Default Air Fare Forecasts

One of the most common questions on travel newsgroups is "Should I buy
my air ticket now or wait for lower prices?"

Here are two sites that give answers to the question, but they only
work for trips in the United States. Does anyone know of similar sites
for European or transatlantic trips?

Thanks. That's a good site, but it only offers historical fares, so
does not answer the question of whether it is better to buy now or
wait. Also, although you can search +/- a few days, it does not search
a long period so, if for example you want to find the best prices in
December, you have to try many dates.

Other than a historical basis, what method would you use for your "bet"?
No one can tell you for certain when the fare will be at its lowest point.
