Voyager ships have a shop off the inside promade which has cookies, mini
sandwiches, cakes and pies all day and night. --Tom "Linsifer" wrote in message ... That's why I was glad they always had a big basket of cookies in the Horizon Court buffet on my last two Princess cruises.I would grab a couple of those when I just wanted something sweet but not as rich or fancy as some of the desserts. ~Lindsay That was my complaint on our last cruise. I just wanted a plain piece of dessert, any kind. They try to get so fancy and ruin everything by putting some sort of filling or topping or whatever they have handy in it. ~ Patty |

Do you have to pay for them? The word "shop" makes me think you do.

No. At least not the ones I had.
There might be pay stuff as well (chocolate covered strawberries come to mind... but I didn't look that closely). With the promenade, what they did is make all the places like small shops off it. The wine place looks like a wine shop. Same with the pub. Same with the T-shirt/logo shop. They even put street signs outside them so they look like shops. On Navigator, many of them had a Victorian look. Like you might find in a small street in an old timey type town like Chester in the UK. --Tom "Linsifer" wrote in message ... Lindsay Lindsay, I don't know about Voyager ships, but on HAL, they have a tray of great home made cookies next to the ice cream counter..That's where I'd find Ed every time! I love the variety of ice creams on HAL--free with many flavors and all day during the hours that the buffet was open! They had a table of toppings, chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, blueberries, strawberries, etc. plus a couple of bottles of liquor standing there to top the ice cream, too! --Jean |

In my past experience, if you really want a piece of cake, just let it slip
that it's your "birthday" that night, and you'll likely get that cake, and a bunch of singing waiters delivering it as well ;-) is Dan Harris***** WhoCruiser's Personal Home Page: http://members.aol.com/WhoCruiser Read about The Sci-Fi Sea Cruise at: http://www.scificruise.com Purr-use The Cat House at: http://members.aol.com/LookAtMyCatsPage |
