You have to be kidding, the craze for grafitti came from the
USA in the first place and I saw plenty of it Ohio and
California when I lived there

One rock in Cinque Terre had spray painted on it, "Yankee, take your
liberal capitalism home." Hmmm. that individual must not be involved
in the tourism industry. (Not sure about his/her use of the word
"liberal.") He should get to know some Italian taxi drivers, they are
the scum of the earth -- at least those that accost you at the Rome
train station. Never will they quote the same price. I got cheated
twice before I learned.


Italians seem to have a love-hate relationship with tourists: they love
the money bet hate the rest.

Yep, they should stay open all the time, like them alligator museums
along the road down in Florida.

more cars and SUVs like at home.

countries? At an average, I would claim that travel times in Europe by
train are still more reliable than driving by car (due to traffic jams).
If you call them "on time down to the millisecond", this kind of
millisecond might be some special US unit different fron the SI system.

Really? Have they got rid of the graffiti in the New York subway? There
was enough there to cover most of Italy on its own.

There is graffitti on the walls of caves inhabited by Neanderthals
but the craze for street gangs tagging anything and everything
came from New York city in the 60's
