As it's about 250 miles you'd have to be going at one hell of a lick to
do it in 20 minutes.

Actually you need to be going at a hell of a lick to do it in 2:15.

But Eurostar say they can do it in that time on at least one service a day.

On the other hand there's a 30 minute check-in.

Plus you need to get to the check-in at St P...

yes, she said the time included check-in and check-out.

I can't convince her of this as she said she had ridden the train and the actual
trip only took 20 minutes. strange

The trip under the sea takes about that time.

Why not just look it up? Not hard to do. 2 hours 15 minutes.

which is strangely the time I quoted in my Original Post. The question was "what
is the actual travel time" not how long it takes to get from London to Paris.

But thanks anyway

So why did she call them up?

She had the strange thought that they might know the answer. I myself thought
what a strange concept, but none-the-less, she did it and it satisfied her

is that anybody took your dumb question seriously.

Maybe she talked about (or confused it with) the tunnel itself. It's
just 50 km (30 miles) and thus easily passed in 20 minutes - even though
AFAIK it's more like 30 to 40 minutes.

makes sense

If you look into her ear, can you see light at the end of the tunnel?
