What's your recommendation?
Have to do a quick two-day trip SFO to DTW (Detroit) late next month.
One choice is Northwest nonstop, with departure and arrival times that are pretty convenient for me. Other choice is United via connections through Denver or Chicago. Reasonably convenient departure and arrival times available, but total travel times 1.5 to 2 hours longer each way. It'll be Business Class in either case. All the NWA horror stories in this group recently -- should that be a major factor in this choice? |

They're not any worse than anybody else these days. |

A non-stop flight beats changing planes in Chicago or Denver. NW's first class is reasonably good. Me too. Connections always raise the chance of some problem occuring. On a non-stop, you get on board and get off. Full stop. I would also only bring a carryon so you don't have to worry about baggage. |
