ROOM SERVICE ?

Can someone tell me about how room service work's on cruises? Is this
included in your meals (that are already paid for) or you pay as you do
in motels they put it on you bill. Sorry if this is a stupid question
(First Timer here). Please go easy !!! LOL

There is no fee for room service, but it is customary to give a small
tip to the person who delivers it.

Room service is included in your cruise fee, BUT you should definately tip each
time you order.

It's included, when you get on board ask your cabin person if there are any
restrictions on hours or things like that, but usually there isn't.

Another consideration is the extent of the menu.
Room service on some lines amounts to little more than a snack
(sandwiches, desert, cheese plate). On other lines you can order the
same dinner you would order in the dining room.

Breakfast is a seperate issue. You can get breakfast delivered but on
days that the ship is in port there is often a long wait because the
volume of people trying to use room service.

If you are like us, up at 5:30-6AM, room service called for fruit,
coffee, danish (since it is continental breakfast fair). It is
delivered in under 10 minutes. Then sit on the balcony, enjoying the
stars, then the sun coming up as we cruise into port of the day.

On our Med cruise, we slept in one morning til 9AM & it was an hour
til we saw our breakfast delivered. So do it early, since the dining
room & buffet are open by 7AM too eat there also.

I know that we are going off topic frim the original post but we have
discovered that few people seem to go to the dining room and service
there is usually very quick so if you are in a hurry go to the dining
room.

Well I typed one thing then tried to reword it and completely messed
up what I was trying to say.

It seems that few people go to the dining room for breakfast
(especially on port days). Because there are a lot of waiters you
usually get very fast service.
