The amount of kid bashing that appears on this board is truly saddening.
Aren't there any of you, who like me, enjoy seeing some children on
cruise ships? Or are you all really that OLD?

Howard - who thinks it's about time to speak out on behalf of the children.

Wow. 160 replies to your post Howard. You are truly King of the Trolls. This
should win the Troll Of The Year Award as you kept 'em on the line for so long.
Hook, line and sinker. I bet this is the most action and activity this group
has seen in a long time. I don't know whether to salute you, laugh
uncontrollably or up-chuck in disgust. Anyways, since you are so goo-goo ga-ga
over kids that are not even your own and the .edu in your address points to the
possibility that you work teaching, you really should submit a copy of this
thread to the proper person and when they see the relentless commitment to what
seems to be your highest affinity in life (other people's offspring), you will
probably enjoy a big pay raise and promotion. Enjoying what you do for a living
is at least 51 percent of it. Anyone who stays at a career because they enjoy
it more than they care about how much they are making is a-okay in my book.
It's the only way to be happy and get the most out of this short thing we call
life.

Nookey
They really came out of the woodwork on this one and the Trolls Talking To
Trolls Thread was befitting of you and highly comical. Thanks for the laugh.
May the Champagne stay cold and the Happy Meal stay warm.

Why complain about that? Kids will probably learn a lot more on a
cruise than in a classroom. I remember hearing, "there are too many
teachers on vacation in Europe." What better way to learn than
travel.
Aside from those items, schools are different now. Some kids go to
schools with modified schedules/calendars, some kids are homeschooled
and some kids get credit for extended trips abroad, i.e. exchange
students. Ask them when you see them.

Then call me an idiot. I brought my twins to restaurants from time to time, as
well as their little sister....all as infants. And, just like any public place,
if they started fussing or crying, my husband or I would simply take them out
for a little breather. Or home for a nap if needed. Actually, though, when they
were very young, it was easy to bring the infant seat in and 99% of the time,
they slept through the whole thing.

I'm glad I didn't go to your school.
