Default Hotels in San Juan

Hello,

Well, I am going on a cruise in September out of San Juan. I have
made the air arrangements, and paid for the cruise on Adventure of the
Seas. My wife and I need to stay overnight in San Juan. I am not
sure about the hotels in San Juan. What areas are good areas, and
what areas are bad areas. The Wyndham Old San Juan looks interesting,
but it is expensive and has a 9% fee in addition to the taxes on it.

There is a Hotel Milano in Old San Juan, but I am not sure if it is a
nice hotel or not.

There are hotels listed in an area of San Juan called Coranado (I
think that is spelled right) that I think is downtown San Jaun, but I
am not sure?

Anyway, any ideas what are some good inexpensive hotels in San Juan
that are not too far from the port?

Thanks in Advance
roland

There was a note on the Milano on another travel board and the writer
said the place was okay. The area is the Condado and there are budget
hotels in that section. Three budget hotels in the Condado you could
check out are Canario By The Sea, Canario Inn and Canario on the
Lagoon. The Condado section is on the ocean.

The Caribe Hilton is good for families and is on the beach. I have five
to put up so we are staying at the Embassy Suites, not on the beach.

Look through Travelocity at hotels in San Juan to get a feel for locations.
