Default Photographs of Northern Sweden & Travelling to Sweden

Here are some photographs of Northern Sweden I took recently.

The cheapest way to fly to Sweden from England is to fly with Ryanair
(www.ryanair.com) from Stanstead to Skavsta Airport (Nyköping) or
Västerås Airport or to Sturup Airport(Malmö). The cheapest way to fly
internally to Northern Sweden is with SAS (www.sas.se). You can fly
from Arlanda airport (Stockholm) to Umeå, Luleå, Kiruna and other
northern airports. The prices in Sweden aren't as high as one might
expect: a cheeseburger at McDonald's costs 12kr (91p). You can buy
lunch during weekdays at a restaurant for around 55kr (£4.19); dinner
at a restaurant can cost around 140kr (£10.67), this is just for the
main course. If you are staying at a Hotel in Sweden then breakfast is
usually included - they have the best hotel breakfasts in Sweden.
Alcohol is expensive though, but only when buying it at a bar etc, a
pint of beer can cost around 55kr (£4.19). It is advisable to buy
alcohol from Systembologet, which is the only store (state owned) you
can buy alcoholic drinks containing over 3.5% alcohol. Anything 3.5%
and under is sold in supermarkets and corner shops etc. The price
difference between Systembologet and a bar is tremendous - that is why
Swedes drink at home before they go out. Car hire is cheap, a Renault
Clio costs 1374kr (£104.71) for a week (from OKQ8 petrol stations)
including 700km (435 miles).
