WOW! geez, and here I thought this was a nice place to communicate w/
others? I guess not .. .That was very mean of you to say . .If you
don't want to read about my plans- WHY on earth would you even post
anything - just move along to other subjects that are more of your
interest and STOP putting down things of other people that you
shouldn't say things about. I think you are sad and I'm not interested
in dealing w/ someone who has nothing good to say about anything!
Good-Day! and Good bye!

Char, Clint is a troll and a fountain of misinformation and just plain
stupidity.

Just ignore him. He won't go away, but he won't annoy or concern you
either.

The only suggestion I would make is try not to make any very large
non-refundable plans if it does fall through in St. Thomas.

Doesn't really sound like there's a lot of dollars tied up in the St.
Thomas wedding. It's on the beach with a post-ceremony toast. No
reception from what I can gather. So, I don't think it'll be a huge hit
to the pocketbook if the plans don't go as expected. Worst case (and it
certainly would be disappointing) they wouldn't get married on St.
Thomas.

The "weddingmoon" we attended last August was a different story. The
bride and groom planned a Key West beach wedding at a beautiful resort
with pre-ceremony coffee, tea, juice, continental breakfast and a
post-ceremony full luncheon complete with band, photographer, etc. They
even got a room at the resort for their early morning wedding
preparations, brought in a hair stylist for the bride, and a trolley
bus, fully decorated for a wedding, to transport us from and back to
the ship, etc., etc., etc. They would have taken a HUGE financial hit
if we hadn't been able to make it to Key West, but that's the wedding
they wanted, so they were willing to take the risk.

As long as the OP is going into this with her eyes wide open,
understands the risks and potential for disappointment, I'll just wish
them nothing but happiness and good fortune.

Charles - I appreciate your concern and do thank your for it, but
PLEASE don't say that to me. I have had issues and problems already
with my original date I picked got sold out and I had to move the date
of the cruise and then to find out my sister couldn't come and then now
my other sister can't afford ( which is fine and I totally understand
their situation as it is expensive) but they both plan on flying down
to see their "baby sister" get married. I hope that from what YOU say
Charles, that we don't run into problems as I was stuck in Jamaica last
Sept when Hurricane Ivan hit and that was enough for me. So, thanks
for your concern and I appreciate your thoughts. Have a nice day

And a damn fine one, at that.

I think the problem that Tom K was trying to point out was that the OP
has some guests who are not sailing with them, but meeting them in St.
Thomas for the wedding. If they didn't make it to St. Thomas, the
guests would more or less be left out in the "cold."

We opted to have our wedding cruise onboard the ship before it left the
Port of Miami, in order to facilitate the few guests who weren't
sailing with us. We had a reception on boardwith hot and cold
appetizers and open bar. We also hosted a dinner party "rehearsal
dinner" the evening before we sailed in Miami for all of our guests.
Our guests seemed to enjoy it a lot.
