Default Favorite books to read on a cruise

I am picking out books to take on our January 4th cruise on the Grand. Don'
t know if anyone else enjoys it, but I love sitting out on a deck chair
facing the open sea with a good book. Putting your feet up and watching the
ocean go by eases the stresses of life. When you combine that with a good
book, you get a double escape.

Does anyone have a book to recommend? I would like to recommend the books
of Richard Halliburton. He wrote simple stories of his travels, like the
"Royal Road to Romance." Nothing fancy, just interesting adventures. He
may not be in current print, but should be available at used book stores or
Amazon.com.

I just finished "Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver, which was
marvelous. I would also recommend "Middlesex" but only if you enjoy a very
strange story. If you like travel books, the Provance series is wonderful.

No favourite book, Mark... Just a friendly reminder that you don't fall
into the trap of the ignoramus cruiser, who leaves his book sitting on
the deck chair while he's off for breakfast, lunch, the casino, shore
leave, another cruise, etc. ... Jon

Sigh. I am again being informed of ITTs strange behaviour.
Now I am an old bat. Well it takes a young bat to know an old bat.
James Patterson - quote "itsybitsy 2-4 page for those with attention
span issues.
How would ITT know if ITT had not read his books.
To coin a phrase from one of ITTs posts
How much do you think I give two (I will make it three) dumps what you
think of me.

SUNNY........wishes ITT would take a lovely slow boat to China and stop
annoying me and following me around. If you wish I'll keep a log of my
daily comings and goings including visits to the loo, send it to you and
save you the agonizing ritual of reading my posts and finding ways to
make yourself look, well, like ITT
