It couldn't restore the app data because the new machine had dumped them and it restored them empty. so what? do another full restore, this time from your actual backup, which will wipe the emptiness and restore your apps and data. That's how I got the apps back, but they were empty. -- biblioholic medievalist |

Enilar, I've known nospam for may years and have had many happy battles with him. There is one thing I can say: he knows what he is talking about. Yes, when he understands the problem, but the disaster was too great this time 8-( -- biblioholic medievalist |

I'm battling back from disaster-- almost all my apps on the iPad were wiped clean of all data somewhere in the middle of the nasty battle with a new computer with the worst OS I've ever had to deal with: Yosemite. I now have to clear away the old posts here to get up to date before I leave home on my yearly trip combo and have only Newstap on the iPad with me. Enjoy your trip. You are visiting France again? Please don't swear at me! The Faroes this time. would love to know what you find there tim Neat scenery and history. I thought you had a specific interest in pre-history tim |

Fine, so you've now got the old Pages on your new machine. So use it. It's, as usual with "up"grades, missing functions I used regularly. I presume there are the additional useless bells and whistles I have no use for. -- biblioholic medievalist |
