If you're in the top cabins you may be able to arrange the concierge to get one for you. At least on the Legend last month, they had someone selling roses most of the trip. Did not look at the price. Also, you can order ahead of time some kinds of flower arrangements to be delivered to the state room. Go to the website and search on flowers. |

Not a full service Florist but they do have a cart where you can buy
flowers. They are usually located outside the main dining room near the stairs or elevator bank every night of the cruise. |

I don't recall if the older ships have a florist. -- Charles |

I would skip the boutonniere. You're right. For a person traveling alone, a boutonniere on a cruise is pretentious. Thank you for pointing this out to me. I disagree. I fail to see why it would be pretentious for a single man. If you want to wear one, it shouldn't be reserved for men who are part of a couple. For all onlookers, you could be having an assignation later on, you with the white rose and she with a single black dahlia at her throat. Very noirish. BTW, check out your local crafts shop. I saw some boutonnière quality silk flowers that will do quite nicely. To anyone close enough to dance with you they look like the real thing. The very cool part is they won't wilt as the evening progresses. Just a drop of quality perfume of an appropriate scent will complete the illusion. -- ____ Brian M. I'll take the opposite view that if you want to wear a boutonniere, why not? What others think isn't important... how you feel is. Another suggestion is buy yourself a butonniere for formal night and
also a single rose for each of the ladies at your table. This is a charming gallant gesture that will be appreciated and there is nothing wrong with you wanting to accent your appearance. Personally I think it adds a little class to the cruise experience. |
