Air France (and their partners) use terminal building 2, most of the

of the world uses terminal 1. They are at least 15 mins (if not
more) by
bus distant from each other.

Can't be worse than a British flight we took a few years ago from
SFO to Heathrow and our conecting BA flight to Helsinki was at
Gatwick.

Agreed: Heathrow to Gatwick is 45 miles, and I suspect that the
estimated
time varies between 45 mins und 4.5 hours ;-

So I've heard. Next spring I'm flying from Chicago to Aberdeen via
Copenhagen 8-)

Is that offered as a connecting flight by the BA booking system? Some
years back I had an AF fight arriving at CDG and the AF connecting
flight was from Orly. Air France did not offer this on the booking as a
connecting flight, I had to book the legs separately.

It was offered as our connecting flight in 1997 (I believe it was
1997). Last time we did it, though, the connection was LHR T4 to
LHR T3, maybe five years ago.

As others have said, you have an extremely tight connection time.
Since terminal assignments may change, you need to check when you
arrive CDG. Or, you may ask your flight attendents to check it for
you before arrival. Sometimes they have the connection information.

Extreme wind, cold and humidity?

There are places that aren't like either extremes of weather.

We haven't been back to Scotland since we had a disastrous rain and
gales all the time cold summer sailing holiday in a summer that was one
of the hottest of the century elsewhere in Europe including the North of
England.

I didn't mention the midges.

It says the PHL-CDG arrives at 2E and the CDG-BLQ departs 2D. That
sounds like a close connection to me.

"Sounding close" and reality at CDG are two different things, The
terminals are on opposite sides of a road that is virtually impossible
to walk across, you have to rely on the shuttle bus service.

10 years ago, the new shuttle was not there.

See the connection flight guide.
http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/e...ection-flight/

You are landing at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2E
and your connecting flight is at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2D

On leaving the aircraft, follow the signs for “Exit - Baggage Reclaimâ€.
Once you have gone through passport control and customs,
your route
N1: Take the free Aeroports de Paris shuttle to Terminal 2D.
Frequency: every 6 minutes from 4:00 to 7:30 am, every 8 minutes from
7:30 am to 12:00 am, every 6 minutes from 12:00 am to 3:00 pm, every 8
minutes from3:00 pm to 1:30 am and every 15 minutes from 1:30 am to 4:00,
24/7
This service is free.
