I think even NCL's largest detractors won't complain about NCL's procedures there ... To me the calmest most leisurely procedure ... Stay in your room ... or on deck ... or even sipping some tea somewhere ... Then when you're called ... take your time ... finish you tea ... collect your belongings ... and amble off ... |

They not only had no coherent explanation of what the various colors meant, or the schedule for them (you had to wait for your color and number to be called with no way to keep track of how much longer you might have to wait), RCI usually puts out a sheet with the colors and what they mean that they put in your cabin the final day. The show the order, that some color are early debarkation or express debarkation and some are for groups. They even put out the times. Also never had a problem changing colors on RCI at the pursers desk. Well maybe this was just an exceptionally disorganized cruise for RCI (it was a repositioning cruise) because they absolutely did not give us any sheet with colors in our cabin. There may have been one down at the desk, but I didn't go down there to look - it was at the other end of the ship. I didn't have any problem with what time we were getting off as we didn't have a deadline. But I would have liked to have had toilet paper in the rest rooms while we were waiting. Actually the worst I have found is Princess. On Princess you can't figure out from the colors the time and you never know when your color will be called. The colors are by deck but they don't call the decks in order. They skip around. And if you go to the pursers desk to request a change of colors they won't change them easily. They give you the third degree. That's how I felt about RCI. |
