Default Rome Airport

I will be flying out of Rome in mid to late September after vacationing in
Tuscany. I would like to get rid of my car the night before. Can anyone
recommend a hotel near the airport? I would like not to have the hassle of
going back into Rome center again.
Appreciate it.

There is a Hilton right *at* the airport. I have used it when on a very
early flight, to cut down on the stress.

No personal experience but this hotel has been mentioned positively for
the price over the years
www.hotelmach2.it
They have a limited shuttle service (7am-0945am-no Sundays or holidays)
to the airport. With a taxi as another option I assume.
But as mentioned above try the Airport Hilton, If you're leaving on a
weekend I've heard they have discount rates.

The Hilton is attached by an elevated walkway to the terminal. If you want
easy and don't mid the price, it's the way to go. I usually have a gawd
awful early morning flight out of Rome, so to me, it is worth it. grin. It
is a typical Hilton.

Be aware that the airport shuttle at the Holiday Inn Parco dei Medici does
not operate sufficiently early in the morning for it to be a good choice for
very early flights. On their website, they say "scheduled" shuttle service,
and, at that time, the first shuttle left the hotel too late for our flight
at 7:00 a.m. When I stayed there more than five years ago, there were other
serious problems with the hotel as well. The bathroom was not clean and
front desk personnel were rude and not helpful. We are used to staying in
2-3 star hotels in Europe and do not have unrealistic expectations, but this
place was awful. The last impression was of room service trays left
overnight in the corridor that were crawling with roaches or other bugs.
Perhaps things are better there now. The reviews at tripadvisor.com are
fairly positive, but if you decide to stay there and have an early flight
from FCO, I'd recommend verifying the shuttle schedule with the hotel to be
sure it meets your needs.
