Default Car Rental - I want a Mustang in / near Orlando - a few questions

Has someone rented in Orlando lately ? Has someone rented and GOTTEN a Mustang there lately ?
How much money ? What "category" is a Mustang ? (non-convertible model)
I've tried Orbitz and Hertz, Budget and for Orlando, I don't see a "Sport" category online. Do they not rent them there ?

I've tried 3 times this year ( in CA - not in FLA) and have yet to get a 2005 Mustang when I've put in for one.
Last time I ended up with a Sebring convertible (since it's in the same class).

Also, as anyone picked up a car near/at Disney (as opposed to at MCO ) ?
I'm debating taking a cab/bus/shuttle from airport to WDW - staying a few days and THEN getting the car and htting the road for a
week.

Thanks,
Bobb

Go to the Hertz site, click "Location, Cars & More"
Then click on Vehicle Guide
Enter "Orlando"
Click on the location
then to the left of the page, click on "Fun Collection"

Orlando Airport has Mustangs (Coup or Convertible)

It's still going to be that crummy 6 cyl model.

Default Car Rental - MCO vs WDW - shuttle to/from airport?

===================================

Thanks for the pointers - that's my problem - if I check MCO they have the FUN coupes - so it's only at the BIG locations that I
can get a coupe. I wanted Kissimmee as I figured that rather than rent a car and pay to have it sit in WDW parking lot for 3-4 days,
I thought that I'd take a shuttle to/from WDW and just rent my car at/near WDW. I'll have to do the math to see if I'll save
anything.

Also, I just saw "Disney's Magical Express Service" where they'll take my bags and me right to WDW from the airport. Anyone used it
? How much ? How often ?

Thanks,
Bobb

PS here's the pricing at WDW vs MCO : cheaper at MCO but more tax - about a wash

www.hertz.com
Then Location, Cars & More
Then Products & Services
Then Hertz Fun Collection Models
and I SEE this text:

Models are Reservable - Every brand and model in the Hertz Fun Collection can be specifically reserved and guaranteed. - and
browsing I can see them:

Ford Mustang - FUN

Ford Mustang Convertible - FUN

But I also see:
Hertz Fun Collection vehicles are available at select locations in the following U.S. markets:

But I can't reserve one on that page, so I have to go back to:
Get A Quote...Reserve a Car

when I try to make a reservation at
Disney World Kissimee, 7471 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee , FL
I only see:
Ford Mustang Convertible or Similar 329.99 USD - Weekly
Total Approximate Charges 371.06

BUT, if I check MCO - they have the coupes - so it's only at the BIG locations that I can get a coupe ?? That's my problem !
Ford Mustang Convertible or Similar 300.99 USD - Weekly
Total Approximate Charges 369.15
Ford Mustang Convertible - FUN / 400.99 USD - Weekly
Total Approximate Charges 485.77

Ford Mustang - FUN / 261.99 USD - Weekly
Total Approximate Charges 323.68

No, I saw on that FUN page - you can get a GT Convertible too ( at least that's what the second picture showed)

Join Hertz's #1 Club GOLD, and they will guarantee you a specific model
at a specific location. (Note, I've never actually tried this, but they
advertise it.) Otherwise, you are stuck with a particular car class,
and could be given anything in that class. I *think* a basic mustang
might actually just be a midsize car class.

It's free for now. Don't expect that to continue after the Happiest
Celebration on Earth ends sometime next year.

From what I've read, the buses don't run on a timetable, but rather
leave when they fill up.

You can get more information from the rec.arts.disney.parks newsgroup.

You better find someone to take your bags Bobb, cause they sure as hell
won't fit in that Mustang!!
