Default Travel Agent?

Good Evening Chuck:

In addition to being actively engaged in the industry on the sales or marketing
end of it there is another avenue that you may wish to explore. That of a Tour
Conductor or Group Leader.

We have many friends who do not want to be involved at the "business" level but
like to organize travel groups and escort them somewhere. Sometimes Cruises,
sometimes Tours, and sometimes just a quick bus trip to a Casino. This is a
great entry into the industry without having to make any commitments of time or
money.

Any of your local Agencies would be happy to talk to you on this subject I am
sure and there is a trade journal for people interested in this aspect of the
business, http://www.traveltipsmagazine.com

Always feel free to ask questions .......

In article .net, Chuck
says...

I normally know a scam when I see one, and I feel that most "home
businesses" are scams, but...

I was thinking of checking into the travel agent home businesses, not so
much for the money, but for the travel benefits. In fact I don't know that I
would even try to sell much travel, maybe to close friends or something.

Has anyone done this? Do the "home based" travel agents get the discounts
like a real travel agent gets? Can you recommend someone to go through to
get going?

Just looking for opinions... I'm sure the real travel agents will have an
opinion!! haha

Thanks...

Chuck (ducking the flames)
