All sound like good ideas, except Wellington is in North Island. The South island is pretty free and easy to tour, nothing really needs to be booked in advance - so with someone of that age I wouldn't plan rigidly ahead. Just have a rough idea, pick up a pile of free maps and brochures at airport, and see how you go. |

My wife & I spent the month of February traveling both islands for our honeymoon. The south island is much prettier. You need to see Nelson and the Marlborough region. Simply stunning. Also, take a ride up to Abel Tasman park which is near Nelson. If you have time to go down to Te Anau which is a couple of hours from Queensland, you can go see Milford Sound which is very beautiful. If you want to spend a little money, I'd recommend taking a helicoptor ride up to see Mt. Cook. The Southern Alps are amazing. |

Queensland in a couple of hours? I think this should be Queenstown. |

In article . net,
Kernow writes Oamaru - Blue penguins at twilight Actually, Oamaru has some very interesting architecture as well. It is being put forward as a UNESCO site by NZ. The penguins are fab, too. -- JohnM |

Look for 80 year old women? Or 18 year old perhaps. That might not work for either of them, from another NG:- Derek. "A study was carried out to determine if a drug was useful for erectile dysfunction (ED). The study had two groups of 10 patients. A placebo was given to Group A, whereas group B received the drug which promised to be effective for ED. After several trials of the drug during a week, all patients of Group A were not satisfied, they were not able to sustain intercourse, and their counterparts were not satisfied either. On the contrary, all patients in Group B were fully satisfied with the drug, they were able to sustain intercourse, and counterparts were very happy and surprised of the effect of this drug. In conclusion: Placebo 0% efficacy, Wonder drug 100% efficacy. This seemingly impressive results are less impressive when you read the small letter in the materials and methods section of the article. In group A, of patients receiving placebo, all male subjects were older than 80 years, and female counterparts were younger than 25. In group B, of patients receiving the wonder drug, all male subjects were 25 years old, and female counterparts were older than 70...... |
