Default Which airport to fly into bay area?

I have a voucher for a free united ticket, but I am confused which
airport I should fly into? I need to get to downtown San Francisco so
will be taking public transportation. Which of these airports is most
conveniently located for what I need:

San Jose Airport
San Francisco airport
Oakland airport

SFO is preferred, but OAK is ok also. Can take BART to SF from either
station. Cheaper and more convienent from SFO and do not have to take the
airbart bus from OAK to the BART station.

BART stops in the SFO international terminal, so that is the easiest.
There is a BART shuttle from OAK and a Caltrain shuttle from SJC.

San Francisco has more Public transport going into the city
Some transit from San Jose an Oakland may not run at weird off peak
hours

what happens if your flight is delayed and lands in Oakland at 11pm
can you get to SFO?
probally not?

San Jose uses Cal Train to get into SFO
more like an Amtrak type thing rather than local rail

BART runs till after midnight, the question would be does Airbart run after
midnight.
www.BART.gov will give you the BART times and routes.

OAK also has the advantage of being a bit easier to navigate and
pleasanter compared to SFO. The AirBART shuttle is pretty quick
and easy.
