Hi
I went to Tunisia some years ago. It's a small country, you won't need
more than a week to visit it all. North area, including Tunis is
crowded, and it's more western like, including some roman sites. South
is less touristic, with all signs in arabic, and people are not used to
see foreign travelers there. There are some beach resorts near
Hammamed and Sousse, and Kjerba island, but I cant tell about them,
cause I dont like that type of vacation. I recommendo you to go to the
far south, to sahara desert. You can hire some local camel owner and
head to the desert 1, 2 or more days. Make sure you go to Tataouine
and visit the ksars; Matmata and the troglodites, Chott el rid and its
salt lakes...
Most of the people use arabic or french. English is rare, therefore a
french dictionary is a good idea.
Have a nice trip
