I can't help but be astonished at the sheer waste of efforts going on
in the middle east, especially when one sees what China is up to
nowadays.

In the future we'll be looking back at this time wondering just what
the hell people were thinking.

China isn't complaining.
They are no doubt grateful that the USA is ****ing a trillion dollars
into the sand of Iraq rather than investing in its industry etc.
