Default Princess Cruise to Hawaii - Questions on rooms - reg vs mini-suite

Hi all,

My parents are looking to go on a Hawaii cruise in January or Feb and are
looking at a 15-day on the Island Princess To/From LA.

They were originally looking at a regular balcony cabin but I am trying to
convince them to go for a Mini-Suite (sometimes referred to as Jr Suite).
The relatively small difference in price ($200-400) seems reasonable
considering you get about 300 sq ft instead of 200, and for 15 days, 10 at
sea, this seems like a no-brainer.

For any of you who have experience with Princess regular rooms vs the
mini-suites, I would appreciate any info and advice...also best decks and
locations. Are there any other amenities with the suites that we haven't
considered? FYI, my parents are active seniors but prefer quiet in their
room.

Thanx,
Bob in RSM, CA

We recently took the 15 night on the Regal to Hawaii. We got the balcony due
to the length of the cruise. I've never had a mini suite but the regular
balcony cabin was plenty big enough for two of us. It was perfect!

Divide the difference in price by number of days.

The mini suite with all those sea days is a great idea!

Go for it.

Besides, the Island Princess is arguably nicer than the Regal.
