Venice bank holiday
"Fred Stacey" I'll be in Venice on Monday, which is the feast of the Immaculate Conception. two quick questions, Are there any events connected to the religious celebration that are worth visiting ? Will shops, museums, transport etc. be effected ? thanks in advance Fred Stacey I don't know of any special events - just "normal" religious services in the churches. Shopkeepers can decide whether to open or not, though I expect department stores, some supermarkets and shops in the most central areas will be open. Public transport timetables on Sun/bank holidays (except Christmas and perhaps New Year's) vary only very slightly from working days. This does not apply to most neighbouring towns however. M. |
