Default Captain Clarence Oveur, dead at 83

Trans American Airline's most famous pilot, Captain Clarence Oveur died
last week ( Sunday, March 14th) at the age of 83. He died of a heart
attack at his home in Pacific Palisades, Calif., said Fred Barman, his
business manager.

What is not widely known is that Capt Oveur had a second job, working
for the secret Impossible Missions Force (IMF) under the name of Jim
Phelps.

More about his life in the NTY obituary:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/15/ar.../15graves.html

May he rest in peace.

A better, more complete, obituary is available from the Guardian UK
newspaper:
