Default Hot Spots in Downtown Montreal

I'll be attending a conference next month at the Hilton Bonaventure in
downtown Montreal. I'm wondering what places nearby (within walking
distance) have free wireless Internet. Going to a cafe or bar and
surfing the net is one of my favorite activities, and I can't imagine
a better place to do it than bilingual Montreal! I got onto one of
those Hotspots-searching web sites, but I can't tell whether the ones
listed are free or not. I certainly don't want to pay a monthly
subscription for a one-time use. Any help is appreciated. --Matt
