Norwegian Air Shuttle's airport & 737s
Norwegian Air Shuttle runs flights between Oslo and a few cities in
Norway. I assume they run from a different airport than SAS uses. How easy is to travel to NAS's airport? Does an airport train exist? According to their website, NAS runs a fleet of 737s. How is the legroom (what is the seat pitch)? From playing with Opodo, it seems that fares do not have a Saturday night restriction; true? Feel free to comment on NAS. Pete |

For airport information see: http://www.osl.no How easy is to travel to NAS's airport? Does an airport train exist? Gardermoen is Norway's major airport some 50 km out of Oslo city. The old city airport in Oslo (Fornebue) is no longer used since the opening of Gardermoen in the 1990s. There are frequent Train and Bus services from Gardermoen airport to Oslo city and other parts of southern Norway, for the airport express trains (flytoget) see: http://www.flytoget.no/ For more information on NAS see: http://www.norwegian.no/ Till -- Till Kinstler http://www.phil.uni-sb.de/~till/ mobile: +49 179 54 41 451 |

Also, their name now is norwegian.no According to their website, NAS runs a fleet of 737s. How is the legroom (what is the seat pitch)? Quite good from what I've heard From playing with Opodo, it seems that fares do not have a Saturday night restriction; true? Feel free to comment on NAS. As most of "modern" carriers do, the sunday rule has been withdrawn. Pete |

Norway. I assume they run from a different airport than SAS uses. Why do you assume that ???????????? Because other discount carriers use different airports. My assumption is quite understandable. Also, their name now is norwegian.no On their website, Norwegian, NAS, and norwegian.no are used interchangeably for the name. Norwegian is the most commonly used reference. Opodo still refers to them as NAS. From playing with Opodo, it seems that fares do not have a Saturday night restriction; true? As most of "modern" carriers do, the sunday rule has been withdrawn. The market is still dominated by large, full-service airlines, and very few of them have eliminated the Saturday night requirement. Discount carriers are generally the only airlines to have eliminated the requirement. Pete |

They call it Oslo Torp, but haven't seen anyone else refer to it as that. It doesn't have an airport express train and is considerably smaller. |

Pete Ryanair uses Torp *not* Norwegian.no. As stated on their website they use Oslo Airport - Gardermoen. |
