How long for International layover outbound Ohare
We are on AA coming from Indy (American Eagle) into Ohare and then on
to Heathrow. The suggested schedule from AA's website suggests an 1:05 layover at Ohare. Seems a little close to me. Next flight isn't for 12 hours. We are going to London to get on a cruise, but we are going out Friday evening and catching the boat Monday afternoon, so all we would lose would some sightseeing time in London. |

There is no extra time for an international connection in the US (if you originate from a US location). -- Binyamin Dissen http://www.dissensoftware.com Should you use the mailblocks package and expect a response from me, you should preauthorize the dissensoftware.com domain. it should be enough time travelling in that direction (provided your first
plane is on time of course) if you were travelling in the opposite direction it would not be long enough as you would have to get through immigration. "Binyamin Dissen" wrote in message ... " Thanks. My first flight is more or less a shuttle from Chicago to Indy so there is less of a chance of it getting delayed unless there is a weather delay. Most weather problems in Indy, screw things up in Chicago so my departing flight would probably be at least as delayed leaving as mine is getting there. We have about 2.5 hours going the other way. |

We are on AA coming from Indy (American Eagle) into Ohare and then

If your int'l flight were on BA or another airline that leaves from the international terminal 5, you would indeed need more time. |

Minimum connecting Time for O'Hare Domestic to International is 30 min's, apparently, so you have plenty of spare time!!! http://nw.aero/plan/guide08.html DaveM |

Mind you, I'd suggest allowing a couple of extra days to get through Heathrow and/or for them to find your luggage...it's getting ugly there and Heathrow seems to have been pretty aful before the current new terminald iasco. JIm P. P/S/ Yeah, I know the new terminal is BA but I doubt the rest of the airport is unaffacted by the mess ansd the crowds. |

AA will continue to land at Terminal 3 at LHR so all should be fine.
Terminal 5 is quite a long way from the other terminals. The other terminals are unaffected by the recent problems. "Kurt Ullman" wrote in message ... We're not going until mid-June, so at least there should be a better assessment of the damage by then. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
