The delay is an advantage because it gives on time to reflect over matters and check for FACTS before blurting out ill-thought-out replies. Most of us have the brains to THINK before we POST.... Yes, "most". But MANY whom I have encountered don't -- the LATEST honor list include: Frank F. Matthews, DALING, to name just two old-timers -- who posted flames without having read or understood the substance of what was posted. LOOK UP the archives on my Sept 12 post and follow-ups. This post of yours adquately shown that you don't have a brain to THINK before you post. Greg Morrow the well-known troll of ngs. Plus which, Google does not have a killfile function, so that means that those that "Usenet" through Google are forced to endure your lamely corny posts. Whether they like it or not.... If you need a "killfile" just NOT to read something someone posted, that makes you somewhere between a "Mental Midget"/moron and an IDIOT/idjit. I use groups.googles.com to READ and POST exclusively. I read perhaps 2% of all the posts. I read 100% of the follow-ups to MY posts, because I post so RARELY in this ng and I ALWAYS post thoughtfully, including telling idjits like Greg Morrow like it is. All you have to do is look at the SUBJECT line and the AUTHOR and skip ALL those you don't want to read. Simple. But hard for Greg Morrow, isn't it? :-) One advantage of being on a trip which does NOT have convenient access to ngs is the ability to reply to SEVERAL posts all at once, pooling together all the relevant pieces, in a more coherent way, than in many separate fragments. This is an example of such. Are you "real" or are you an "act"....???? Even asking that QUESTION is a solid indication of your cluelessness in Usenet ngs, and in rta in particular. Learn HOW to use the groups.google.com archives, and learn how to keep your mouth shut when you have nothing but noise to post. But then, that would ruin Greg Morrow's ill-reputation in ngs, and Greg wouldn't want THAT, would he? :-)))))))) -- Bob. |
