Actually, as the Wall Street Journal has reported numerous times,
Hussein had dealings with al quaeda for years.

Do you believe everything you read in American papers that have been
briefed by US politicians? It's a load of hooey.

The Bush family have dealings with the Bin Laden family; al Qaida
members lived in Germany; some of them trained in Florida.

Also, Hamas, another
terrorist group had a base in Iraq, located in downtown Baghdad for many
years. The name of the group du jour isn't really as important as what
they do.

Hamas was not, and is not, a threat to the US.

OK, so read the 9/11 Commission report. They specifically reported
dealings between Saddam and Bin Ladin. Even to the point of Saddam
offering asylum in Iraq to Saddam when he was having some problems in
Afghanistan.

Hamas is and continues to be a threat to anyone who believes in peace
and freedom.

The propaganda machine got wound up. The claimed connection between
Saddam and al Qaida has been so hard pushed by some US politicians
that huge numbers of American people think that Saddam had something
to do with 9/11.

Al Qaida was opposed to Saddam's regime (because it was secular,
rather than because it was oppressive). Look around, and you will find
plenty of evidence of US support for OBL in the past. Should the USAF
bomb Washington?

The al Qaida in Iraq justification for the war is false, knowingly
false, a big lie.

Hamas was not, and is not, a threat to the US.

I prefer my assertion to yours.

YOu are full of hooey.

The Bush family have dealings with the Bin Laden family; al Qaida
members lived in Germany; some of them trained in Florida.

The Bin Laden family disowned Osama a long time ago.

Also, Hamas, another
terrorist group had a base in Iraq, located in downtown Baghdad for many
years. The name of the group du jour isn't really as important as what

Hamas was not, and is not, a threat to the US.

It is if it causes a flareup in the ME.

Why would a flare up in the ME be a danger to the US?

It's interesting to observe how so many of the right-wingers resort to
personal abuse. Is it because they don't have good arguments to make?

I think its part of the nature of the right to be oversure of
themselves and humourless, so they are more likely to become
angry when others differ.

Do you think they are unhappy people? Perhaps they are on a mission to
spread unhappiness.

It's not working.

well, Thatcher was right wing and humourless and I think she
spread a bit. As for "these" threads I assume people join in for
amusement?
