Time of year is ALWAYS important.

Not a bad location, there are better unless all you're gonna do is
go to Sea World and back. Actually, a plus might be that they're gonna
be a bit off the beaten track and therefore a bit quieter. You
gonna have a car?

For Orlando, Priceline is fabulous--there is SO much hotel space there and
so many hotels willing to offer it up cheap. I haven't paid more than $40
US for a 3* in the last decade or two. I'm sure the Hilton Garden Inn is
very nice, but any Priceline 3* will be very nice too.

Good, past Easter. You'll miss most of the spring crowds.

You're located well then. Other side of Disney might have been
a touch better, down in Kissimmee, but we're talking minutes
here. It'll be a good time to go to the beach too. Take the
Bee Line (a toll road) straight into Cocoa Beach. You can do
the space center too. On your way to Busch Gardens, you'll go
through Polk County. 3 of the 4 hurricanes path's went through
there. Lake Wales took some tough hits. You might still notice
some damage on your way across. Blue tarps are your first clue.
