"Daedalus" wrote in message ... Fighting never solves anything. Yeah, look at how that American Revolution turned out. Still under the Brits thumb. And the American Civil War, well, that was pointless, right? Might as well let some states allow slavery, what the heck. Best of all, here it is the anniversary of D-Day. Now what did that accomplish, it didn't gt rid of Hitler or stop facism in Europe. Did it? "Reality is the easy part, denying reality takes a lot more effort...." - Alexa "tequila tits" Cameron on being a kook. And that sig line provides double-bonus irony points. |

Still, it means that sometimes fighting *does* solve something. Which was my point. But thanks for the correction; my U.S. public school education in the 70s didn't exactly emphasize the Soviet Union's contributions to world peace. Bo Raxo |

But thanks for the correction; my U.S. public school education in the 70s didn't exactly emphasize the Soviet Union's contributions to world peace. Bo Raxo Stalin wasn't exactly contributing to world peace. In fact he not only was responsible for more murders than Hitler, he was personally doing a lot of them himself. It's known fact that Hitler and Stalin had a secret deal to jointly take over the world, and Hitler betrayed Stalin, wishing to be #1 himself, so Stalin was basically retaliating. Meanwhile back at the ranch, a horde of Jewish scientists came to the U.S. hoping to utilize American wealth and industrial capabilities to manufacture atomic bombs to use on Germany, (see Richard Rhodes- "The Making of the Atomic Bomb"), boy were they disappointed when Germany collapsed and we used it on Japan... of course the American government was too naive to realize the Jewish scientists were burning both sides of the candle, and were freely sharing nuclear secrets with their fellow Jewish scientists in the Soviet Union, paving the way for the "Cold War" which caused more international terror and wasted capital investment than any intentional act in the history of the world. The good side was modern physics and nuclear energy coming from all that... Regarding U.S. public school education, in social studies and history- true, like most school agendas around the world, grade school studies are half fact, half nationalistic propaganda, but one nice thing about America is that far more advanced source materials in history are available to anyone who wishes to research more deeply, unlike most Communist and socialist countries, where authentic sources of history are suppressed and destroyed. |
